At the core of Marketing with April is a mission rooted in faith, family, and fierce determination to help small businesses thrive. Founded by April C. Barnard, this faith-based, women-owned, and family-operated business is proudly based in the heart of East Texas, serving entrepreneurs with heart, strategy, and purpose.
April is more than just a marketing expert—she’s a passionate mentor, devoted mother of three, and proud grandmother of seven. With over 20 years of experience in the marketing industry, her journey from the corporate world to small business ownership is one of resilience, resourcefulness, and deep-rooted belief in helping others succeed.
She’s worn many entrepreneurial hats—running a handmade candle business, a credit repair agency, and a hosting and web design firm. Along the way, she’s held powerful marketing roles in financial services and manufacturing, equipping her with the insights and real-world experience needed to help businesses grow from the ground up.
Community First, Always
April is an active and passionate leader in her community. She runs Explore Northeast Texas, an affordable advertising platform supporting local businesses. She also serves on the Board of Directors for CASA East Texas, is a member of the Longview Connection and Longview Tourist group and has collaborated with the Hughes Springs Chamber of Commerce and the Northeast Texas Small Business Development Center.
She regularly hosts events and fundraisers that benefit the Longview Blue Santa Program, East Texas Angel Network, and CASA of Northeast Texas, using her platform to uplift both businesses and causes that matter.
